Overworld.

Your life, played as a game you can win. Real things you do earn XP, your five areas level up, and a coach you name yourself keeps you on your main quest while the crew does the admin. Rather it didn’t look like a game? Serious mode keeps the help and drops the points.

There’s one more of us you should meet: your coach.

Play a day.

Alex’s Wednesday, day 12 without a cigarette. Tick a quest and watch its XP land on the level in the top bar. Breathe through a craving, close what’s running in the background, save the week, or switch to Serious mode to see it all without the game. It’s a demo of the design: Overworld itself is in the works.

Beat the habits that beat you.

A boss is something you want gone: a habit, a fear, a job you keep putting off. It comes in phases, with a plan for what sets it off and help the moment you need it. Get organised

For every kind of brain.

For anyone who wants to get organised and get going. Overworld makes big jobs small, sizes the day to your energy and starts things with you, so getting organised takes less willpower. It’s designed with neurodivergent people in mind too, with ADHD, autism, dyslexia or dyspraxia, for whom starting and planning can take the most out of a day. It isn’t a treatment.

The real scoreboard 9 of 12

The real scoreboard

Five things that count at the end.

Levels are for the days. These are for the whole game. Once a quarter you rate yourself and your coach shows you what it noticed. Private, and never ranked against anyone.

  • Love over fear Nine big choices. You called six of them love. Up from 5 in June
  • Connection Nine calls with Mum. You and Tom are talking again. Up from 4 in June
  • Adaptability The kiln broke in August. You rebuilt the month in a week. Up from 6 in June
  • Being yourself You turned down an order that wasn’t your kind of work. Up from 6 in June
  • Giving back Two free taster classes. Jo started a sheet of her own. Up from 3 in June
Vega

You’re ahead of where you were in June, on all five.

This quarter’s question If the game ended today, what would you be proud of? And what’s still left?

“Proud I stopped smoking, or that I’m stopping. What’s left is the studio, and more Sundays with Mum.”

Love or fear?

When you say “I’m not sure” about something big, your coach asks one question: what would you do if you weren’t afraid? Your answer goes in the log, and over time you see which one is choosing for you.

Where it stops 10 of 12

Where it stops

A coach, not a doctor.

Overworld is designed with the advice of public health bodies, like the NHS in the UK, the CDC in the US and the World Health Organization. It follows the advice where you live and says where every piece comes from. It plans, encourages and books the help; anything medical stays with the people who know you: your pharmacist, your doctor, and emergency services when it can’t wait.

It never
  • Diagnoses anything, or reads a result beyond the lab’s own range
  • Prescribes, sets a dose, or tells you to stop a medicine
  • Sets a weight target your doctor hasn’t
  • Promises a result, like “quit in 30 days”
  • Suggests drugs of any kind
It always
  • Follows the health advice where you live, and says where it comes from: the NHS, the CDC, the WHO or a named study
  • Sends medicines to a pharmacist or doctor to decide
  • Asks before it reads a new source of data
  • Introduces your coach as an AI
It fetches a person when
  • You mention hurting yourself or someone else
  • Chest pain, fainting or a racing heart: emergency services, straight away
  • A result is outside the lab’s range
  • A plan stops working, or you ask
Questions 11 of 12

FAQ

Questions, answered.

The short answers to what people ask us most.

What is Overworld?

Your life, played as a game you can win. Real things you do earn XP: a walk after lunch, a call to your mum, the first class planned. Your five areas level up, your level sits in the top bar beside the System and AI rings, and a coach you name yourself keeps you on your main quest while the crew does the admin.

Can I use Overworld now?

Not yet. Overworld is in the works: we’re designing it now, and this page shows where it’s heading. Join the waitlist and you’ll hear when it’s ready.

Does it have to look like a game?

No. Switch to Serious mode and the points and levels go: just today’s steps, a review on Sunday and your ratings out of 10, which suits work too. It’s the same help either way, and you can switch back at any time.

Do I get anything for levelling up?

That’s the plan. Every level unlocks something in yourOS before other people have it, like your coach’s voice at level 2 or Rehearse, for practising a hard conversation, at level 7, and beating a boss unlocks the big ones. We’re also lining up partners for rewards, like a coffee or a month of audiobooks. None of it is live yet, and no partner has signed.

Who is the coach?

A new member of your crew, there to keep you on track. You give it a name (Vega until you do), a colour, a handwriting, a personality and how hard it pushes. It always says it’s an AI, and Roxy is still the one you talk to about everything else.

Can it help me stop smoking?

That’s one of the bosses it’s designed for, with the advice of the public health body where you live, like the NHS in the UK or the CDC in the US: a quit date, your triggers and what you’ll do instead, help in the moment when a craving hits, and a booking with your local stop-smoking service or quitline. With expert help you’re three times as likely to quit for good, the NHS says, and counselling and medicine together give you the best chance, the CDC says. Your pharmacist or doctor decides the medicine.

Will it work with my ring or watch?

That’s the plan, and only with your say: Apple Health and Health Connect through the yourOS phone app, and Oura, Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop and Withings by signing in. You choose what each one shares, and you can pause or disconnect it at any time.

Is it a medical app?

No. It never diagnoses anything, prescribes, sets a weight target or tells you to stop a medicine. It says where its advice comes from, and it fetches a person, or emergency services, when it should.

Is it only for ADHD or autism?

No. It’s for anyone who wants to get organised and level up. It’s also designed with ADHD, autism, dyslexia and dyspraxia in mind: big tasks in small steps, a day sized to your energy, two things on screen instead of a long list, time you can see, and streaks that bend instead of snapping. It isn’t a treatment, and it never says it is.
