Some things you pay for aren’t apps. The films, the music, your phone line. I’ll keep those, and find you a better plan where there is one.

Questions 6 of 7

FAQ

Questions, answered.

The short answers to what people ask us most.

Can yourOS really replace the apps I pay for?

Many of them. Plenty of subscriptions are a simple tool you use one corner of: a budget, a habit tracker, a meal planner, a booking page. Tell Roxy what you use each one for, and she builds you just that part as your own yourOS app. Films, music and your phone line aren’t apps, so she keeps those and looks for a better plan instead.

Does an app Roxy builds cost anything?

There’s no new subscription for it. It’s built with the AI that comes with yourOS, and it runs on your own private server. yourOS’s own price will be announced, in US dollars.

What happens to my data in the old app?

It comes with you. Roxy brings it home through the app’s export or API when it has one, or by reading the pages you see when you sign in when it doesn’t. Your sign-in stays in your yourOS.

Will Roxy cancel anything without asking?

No. Your own version runs beside the old one for as long as you like, and you can ask for anything that’s missing. Cancelling waits for your OK, and she tells you first what you’d lose.

Can I earn money from an app Roxy built for me?

When Quarter, the yourOS app store, opens, yes. Share it free or sell it to other people with yourOS. It’s reviewed first and listed under your name, you keep most of every sale, and you look after it.
